Child Development and Learning
The Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) is a government framework that sets out minimum standards of care and learning that all childcare providers are expected to deliver. Its purpose is to ensure every child gets the best possible start in life and the support to fulfill their potential. The EYFS sets standards to enable early year’s providers to reflect the rich and personalized experience that many parents give their children at home. The EYFS contains a series of Early Learning Goals that outline what most children are expected to achieve by the end of their fifth year.
Through observing, assessing and listening to the children in our care we record their achievements in each of these areas and then plan activities that will broaden each child’s learning and development.
